A spectacular September — with lots more to come with the SBSCA!

It was a happy day when we came together to celebrate the Seattle Sister Cities Signpost pointing to our 20 sister cities around the world.

The month of September was another one for the books with the dedication of the Seattle Sister Cities Signpost at Lake Union Park on Sept. 19. We welcomed Mayor Katie Wilson to a day of family-friendly fun, with games, crafts, music, dancing, good food, a grand raffle, and heartfelt camaraderie.

To make this all happen, the Seattle-Bergen Sister City Association played an important role in the event planning. Here are a few SBSCA highlights from this memorable celebration:

SBSCA member Eric Stavney, host of the NordicOnTap podcast, was emcee for the day.

SBSCA Immediate Past President Lori Ann Reinhall (left) checked in visitors for the raffle.

SBSCA Secretary Wendy Jensen welcomed guests to our colorful booth with her warm smile.

The Kareem Kandi World Orchestra set a lively tone for the day with its upbeat international jazz.

Fiddlers Brandon Vance and Rachel Nesvig rocked the crowds with "Crossing the North Sea."

SBSCA City Council Liaison Dan Strauss brought his wisdom and energy to the day.
