On International Women's Day, we saw the launch of Vågespel, a new podcast and website that gives a voice to the Norwegian women who emigrated to America between 1825 and 1925. The SBSCA is proud to partner on this important project for the Crossings 200 commemoration. Ten episodes will air throughout the year.

One Ocean Week in Bergen

Councilmember Dan Strauss traveled to Bergen with the SBSCA and special delegation from Washington Maritime Blue. Seattle was unveiled on the signpost at the top of Mount Fløyen.

Seattle Sister Cities Short Film Festival

We enjoyed films from Seattle's sister cities, featuring the Norwegian animated short film Bear Hug. 

The film festival was also available online, May 16 – June 1.
